Genuine Acura Brake Pads

Your brake pads are crucial parts of your Acura brakes. They help to slow and stop your vehicle. For you, that's an easy step. Literally, since all you need to do is press your foot against the brake pedal.
The brake pads are attached to brake calipers, which clamp them onto the brake rotors. That creates the resistance needed to slow your wheels and tires.
There are four types of brake pads.
Organic brake pads: these are ideal for everyday use. They're inexpensive, easy on your rotors, and don't produce much dust.
Ceramic brake pads: these work in a variety of climates, last longer, produce less noise, and their dust doesn't stick to your wheels.
Metallic brake pads: are capable of tolerating high heat, perform great, offer firmer feeling braking, and are fade resistant.
Carbon fiber brake pads: this type is exceptionally durable, best when temperatures are high, and delivers ideal stopping power.
Sedans and SUVs can use any type of brake pad, but sports cars and performance SUVs are best off using ceramic or carbon fiber pads since they disperse heat best.
Brake pads don't last forever, though. When you need to replace yours depends on their type, your driving style, and your commute. If you notice a vibrating or bouncing brake pedal, hear scraping or squealing noises, or take longer to stop, you'll want to examine your brakes. Otherwise, you should expect to replace yours every 40,000 to 50,000 miles.
